AI workflows for your industry

AI workshops for e-commerce businesses: which training gives you a workflow for product content and order enquiries?

Hands-on Sunshine Coast workshop. Four hours, A$495 including GST, capped at 15.

A friendly pencil-drawn robot with a soft rounded body and warm expression welcomes you beside working papers and a yellow pencil.

Product descriptions, support replies and order enquiries keep coming back to your desk. You want the first draft done faster, without a customer reading a price or a delivery date you never approved. Choose AI training built around one repeated store task, using your own product notes and approved facts, so you leave with the instructions and the tested example you can run again. We build training around your business tasks, source material and the output you need, and you check the output against the information your business supplied.

Key takeaways

  • Your store's own repeated task becomes the training example. A fixed syllabus does not set it.
  • Five inputs, Context, Task, Source, Rules and Output, turn one store job into instructions you can run again. We help your team agree on the source material, instructions and review process for that task.
  • You test the workflow on a safe example and check the result against your own product information before a customer sees it.
  • No coding is needed. You build on your own laptop with hands-on help, and both Udemy 1 and Great Learning 2 state their e-commerce AI courses need no prior technical knowledge.
  • The public workshop runs four hours in person at A$495 including GST per person, capped at 15 paid attendees, with the date to be announced.

What does an AI workshop for an e-commerce business cover?

It covers the work your store repeats. We teach business owners and teams how to use AI on that work, and your business task determines the training example.

Online e-commerce AI courses set their scope in advance. Coursera's Gen AI for Digital Marketing and E-commerce Analyst course is built for digital marketers and e-commerce analysts who want to use generative AI for data analysis and decision-making 34, and learners finish with an understanding of the role generative AI plays in digital marketing and e-commerce analytics 5. Great Learning's free course looks at how artificial intelligence is changing online shopping 6. Udemy's Generative AI in E-commerce course teaches you to apply the technology to a more personalised and profitable online shopping experience 7.

Our session starts from the other end. You bring one repeated business task, and the workshop builds the instructions for it.

Which repeated store task should you bring: product content, support replies or order enquiries?

Bring the one that wastes the most of your time and comes back every week. We help you build and test a workflow you can use again, so the task you choose is the workflow you take home.

Pick a specific piece of work rather than a category. One product description for one item, one reply to one customer question, one order enquiry from one buyer. Bring the information that job needs: the product notes, the approved facts, the delivery terms.

If the job runs through several stages, choose the drafting step first. You can build the instructions for that step without connecting every system in your store.

Task you bring What you supply What the draft needs to do
Product description Product notes, specifications, approved claims Stay inside the facts you supplied and flag anything missing
Support reply The customer's question, your approved answers and policies Answer the question asked and leave out background the customer did not request
Order enquiry The order details, delivery terms, approved status wording Keep supplied prices and dates unchanged

Generative AI in e-commerce is also applied to social media posts and ad copy at scale 8, to audience segmentation using preferences, purchase history and browsing behaviour 9, to conversational shopping assistants that draw on real-time data and personalised suggestions 10, and to virtual try-on and interactive store experiences 11. Those are larger projects. One drafting task gives you something running by the end of the session.

What product and order information does the AI need from your store?

It needs five inputs: Context, Task, Source, Rules and Output. We help your team agree on the source material, instructions and review process for a repeated task, and these five are how that agreement gets written down.

Context describes the business, the customer and the situation. Task names the job the AI assistant needs to do. Source supplies the notes, documents or approved facts for that job: your product specifications, your delivery terms, the order record. Rules set the limits and identify the missing information to flag. Output describes the format and the information the finished draft needs to contain.

Write the five inputs before you add your source material. They describe the job, and they give you the basis for checking the draft afterwards.

How do you check an AI-drafted product description or customer reply before it goes out?

You check it against the source material you supplied. Participants test the workflow on a safe example and compare the result with that source before anything reaches a customer.

Compare names, dates, figures and claims with your source. Recalculate totals. Keep supplied prices unchanged. Check that the draft answers the request and stays inside your scope. Anything the source did not cover gets flagged rather than filled in. The person responsible for the work approves the final version.

Do you need technical or analytics experience to use AI in your store?

No. You build on your own laptop with hands-on help.

The published e-commerce AI courses agree on the entry point. Great Learning states that no technical experience is required for its course 2, and that the course concentrates on applied concepts rather than coding 12. Udemy states that no prior technical knowledge is required 1.

The analyst-level course sets a higher bar. Coursera expects a foundational understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce and data analysis, including familiarity with basic data collection, processing and analysis techniques 13. Deep technical training is not required there either, though prior exposure to data analysis helps you absorb and apply the material 14, and experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Cloud Platform, Google Sheets and Looker Studio is beneficial 15.

Our workshop asks for none of that. You bring the task and the information it needs.

How is a hands-on workshop different from an online AI e-commerce course?

You keep the instructions and the example you tested during the session. An online course gives you the concepts and leaves the building to you afterwards.

Our workshop Published online courses
Example used Your own repeated store task The course's material and case studies 16
Source material Your product notes and approved facts Supplied by the course
Help while building Hands-on, in the room Self-paced
What you leave with The instructions and the tested example An understanding of generative AI's role in e-commerce analytics 5

Online courses set out who they suit. Coursera's course covers beginners in e-commerce analytics and digital marketing, junior analysts and marketers integrating AI tools into their workflows, and small business owners and entrepreneurs after better business insight 1718. It also covers assessing the benefits of generative AI against business goals and identifying next steps for skills development 19, and the analysis side includes understanding customer behaviour, spotting patterns, segmenting audiences and informing forecasts or recommendations 20. Great Learning's course is aimed at e-commerce professionals, digital marketers and anyone interested in improving shopping experiences with AI 2122.

We build these workflows in our own work. We automated internal processes at Radiant Roof Repairs with AI. In our own business, Searchmaxxed, we built AI workflows for creating blog posts, doing SEO and preparing custom proposals. We used AI to automate SEO, enquiries and admin for Glen House Homoeopathy.

Frequently asked questions

Who are these AI workshops for in an e-commerce business?

Business owners and teams. We work with owners and teams across industries, and the store task you bring sets the example. Coursera describes its e-commerce course audience as junior analysts and marketers integrating AI tools into their workflows, along with small business owners and entrepreneurs after better business insight 18.

What should you bring to an AI workshop?

Your laptop, your charger and a safe task example. You build on your own laptop with hands-on help, and you test the workflow on that safe example and check the result against your source material. Bring the product notes, approved facts or order details that the task needs.

What does the A$495 ticket include?

A$495 including GST covers four hours in person on one repeated business task. You keep the instructions and the example you tested during the session.

When is the next workshop and where is it held?

The date is to be announced, and the exact venue is confirmed with the date. The session runs in person on the Sunshine Coast. Join the waitlist to hear first.

Is this an online AI course?

No. The public workshop runs in person on the Sunshine Coast, and private training takes place at the team's workplace. Free online options exist for reading about how AI is changing online shopping 22, and they run separately from what we do.

How is a workshop different from free AI tutorials?

The example. Your business task determines what we build, so the instructions fit your products and your customers. Udemy's course combines explanations, practical exercises and real-world case studies 16, which teach the method on someone else's material. You leave our session with the workflow written for your own.

Can you arrange private AI training for your store team?

Yes. We scope private training around your team's tasks, experience and location, and a fixed quote follows that conversation.

What does GenAI-assisted e-commerce analysis mean?

GenAI-assisted e-commerce analysis is the use of generative AI to work through store data. Coursera's course describes it as understanding customer behaviour, spotting patterns, segmenting audiences and informing forecasts or recommendations 20, alongside the data collection and processing capabilities of generative AI and its real-world applications 23.

How is AI analysis different from using AI to write product and ad content?

Analysis reads data, content writes text. Data-driven personalisation in e-commerce uses customer data such as preferences, purchase history and browsing behaviour to segment audiences and tailor offerings 9. Content generation takes that data and produces social media posts and ad copy at scale 8. Our workshop builds the drafting step, so you can run it without connecting every system in your store.

Do you need prerequisites before AI training for e-commerce?

Not for our workshop. Coursera's analyst course says a basic understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce and data analysis helps before you start 24, and that deep technical training is not needed, though comfort with basic data collection, processing and digital tools makes the material easier to follow 25.

Which tools do you need for AI training in e-commerce?

The laptop you will use afterwards. We confirm tool and account requirements during scoping. Coursera notes that experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Cloud Platform, Google Sheets and Looker Studio is beneficial for its analyst course 15.

What will you build and test during the session?

A workflow for one repeated store task, which we help you build and test so you can use it again. Applied work, not coding, the same emphasis Great Learning places on its free e-commerce AI course 12. Use the instructions on your next product description, support reply or order enquiry, then check the draft against your source before you send it.
